The strategic planning committee is pleased to announce that the process of developing the strategic plan has been finalised and that the strategic plan document will be unveiled on 27 November during the family day. The committee is grateful to all groups and committees that made the milestone exercise a success. The new strategic plan serves as a roadmap for Sts. John and Sylvia Parish. The strategy formulated is for a period of six years.

Based on the SWOT analysis the Parish strategic planning team classified the strategic priorities as follows:
- Expanding Infrastructure for the implementation of an enhanced master plan
- Empowering the youth through holistic programmes
- Strengthening relevant programs for spiritual growth
- Promoting family values and inclusion of diverse vocations
